A Calling, Not Just a Career

Blaine Turner didn't follow a typical path into dentistry. After a decade working cattle ranches in Eastern Oregon, he decided at age 40 β€” with a wife and four boys β€” that he was meant to do something more. He earned his Biology degree and completed his Denturist training because he genuinely believes that a great smile changes lives.

"I will do for you, the patient, what I would want done for my own family."

How Your Dentures Are Made

Your custom dentures take an average of 16 hours of skilled lab work to craft β€” here's what the journey looks like.

1

Initial Consultation & Impressions

We take initial alginate impressions of your mouth. Our lab then creates custom trays fitted precisely to your ridges (~15 minutes in-office, ~30 minutes lab time).

2

Final Impressions

Using your custom trays, we take detailed final impressions with premium material that ensures an accurate fit against your tissue (~15 min in-office).

3

Bite Registration & Shade Selection

Blaine carefully maps your natural plane of occlusion and you choose your tooth shade. This ensures your dentures look and feel exactly right (~45 min).

4

Wax Try-In Preview

See your new smile before it's finalized! You'll try in a wax preview and give approval on size, color, and shape before we proceed (~10 min).

5

Delivery & 90-Day Follow-Up

We fit your finished dentures, make any adjustments needed, and provide complete care education. We support you for 90 days after delivery to ensure your satisfaction.

Don't Suffer Through a Poor Fit

Your jaw changes over time β€” it's completely natural, and it means your dentures may eventually stop fitting the way they once did. A proper reline can restore the comfort and security you had when your dentures were new, often at a fraction of the cost of replacement.

We offer both hard and soft relines depending on your needs, as well as same-day service so you're never without your teeth for long.

Signs you may need a reline or repair:

  • Dentures feel loose or shift while eating
  • Sore or irritated gums
  • Chewing has become uncomfortable
  • Cracked, chipped, or broken denture
  • Noticeable changes in facial appearance
  • Persistent bad odors despite cleaning
⚠️ Important: Please do not use super glue on a broken denture. It damages the acrylic and makes proper repair much harder. Bring it to us instead β€” we can often fix it the same day.

Blaine Turner
Licensed Denturist

Blaine's path to dentistry is anything but ordinary β€” and that's exactly what makes him exceptional. After a decade of ranching in Eastern Oregon, he made the courageous decision at 40 to go back to college with a wife and four sons at home. He earned his Biology degree from Eastern Oregon University in 2010 and completed his Denturist training at Bates Technical College.

Since 2012, Blaine has been doing work that genuinely moves him β€” restoring people's smiles, their confidence, and their quality of life. His personal motto says everything: "I will do for you, the patient, what I would want done for my family or myself." He brings that integrity to every impression, every fitting, and every conversation.

When he's not in the clinic, Blaine can be found working with his cattle and spending time with his wife, their sons, and their growing families.

Why should I get dentures or partials? β–Ύ
When teeth are missing, the surrounding tissue loses support β€” over time, the mouth develops a sunken appearance and significant bone loss can occur. Dentures and partials restore facial structure, improve your appearance, and can actually give you a more youthful look. More importantly, they let you eat, speak, and smile with confidence. The sooner a denture is placed, the slower bone loss will progress.
What happens at my first appointment? β–Ύ
Your first visit is simply a get-to-know-you consultation. Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and a list of any medications you take. If you've been referred by a dentist, bring that referral. If you currently wear dentures, please don't use adhesive on the day of your appointment β€” it helps Blaine evaluate the fit. Most importantly, come with your questions β€” we're here for you.
How long does the full process take? β–Ύ
Typically 5 appointments over a few weeks. Your custom dentures involve around 16 hours of skilled lab work: initial impressions, final impressions, bite registration, a wax try-in where you preview your new smile, and finally the delivery appointment. We support you for 90 days after delivery to ensure everything is comfortable and natural-feeling.
How do I adjust to wearing dentures for the first time? β–Ύ
Patience and a positive attitude go a long way. Like any prosthetic, it takes practice β€” start with soft foods, take small bites, and wear them all day every day to accelerate the adjustment. Some patients feel fully comfortable within weeks; others take up to six months. Don't give up! The adjustment period is temporary, and the result is worth it.
How do I care for my new dentures? β–Ύ
Remove them at night (your gums need a break and oxygen exposure). Rinse with water after meals. Brush daily with a soft bristle brush β€” no toothpaste, as its gritty particles scratch the acrylic and harbor bacteria. Store in water overnight to prevent brittleness. Use Efferdent or Polident weekly. And keep them away from pets β€” animals are attracted to the scent!
Can you repair a broken denture? β–Ύ
Absolutely β€” and please don't try to fix it with super glue. The chemicals in adhesives damage the acrylic and prevent proper bonding of repair material, making future breaks more likely. Bring your broken denture to us. We can usually perform repairs quickly, often the same day.
Do you accept Medicaid? β–Ύ
Yes β€” and we're proud of it. Every patient who walks through our door receives the same high level of care, attention, and respect, regardless of their insurance or payment situation. Please call us to confirm current coverage details for your specific needs.
Do I need a dentist referral? β–Ύ
No referral is required to be seen by Blaine as a licensed Denturist. However, if you have a referral from your dentist, we do encourage you to bring it β€” Blaine values coordinating with your dental team to ensure the best possible treatment plan for your unique situation.
